
According to the Argus state automated system, as of August 8, since the beginning of the year, domestic exporters have sent 351.2 thousand tons of MEAT and meat products to foreign markets. Last year, this figure was 340.3 thousand tons - thus, meat exports increased by 3%.
The most dynamic growth is observed in the beef supply segment. In January-July, the volume of cattle meat sent to foreign contractors increased 2.6 times year-on-year: from 6.7 thousand to 17.4 thousand tons. The main share of purchases of Russian-made beef (11.2 thousand tons) falls on CHINA . Along with China, the TOP-3 of its importers include Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan.
The volume of pork exports increased by more than 25%: 62.9 thousand to 79.9 thousand tons. Here, the maximum share of purchases (40.2 thousand tons) falls on Vietnam. it is followed by Ukraine and Belarus (18.9 thousand and 13.5 thousand tons, respectively).
The EXPORT of horse meat increased 33 times (from 24 to 796 tons). It is purchased by Kazakhstan (751 tons) and Ukraine (45 tons).
The volume of supplies of meat products to foreign markets since the beginning of the year has increased by 42% - up to 40.8 thousand tons. Products of deep processing of meat raw materials were most actively purchased by importers of Kazakhstan: they account for 24.5 thousand tons. For seven months, 6.1 thousand tons of meat products were sent to Ukrainian counterparties, 2.8 thousand tons were shipped to Azerbaijan.
Export growth is accompanied by a reduction in meat imports to RUSSIA. In particular, in January-July, the volume of beef purchases in foreign markets decreased by 18% - to 111.9 thousand tons, horse meat imports - by 32% (to 3.3 thousand tons), imports of small cattle meat (lamb and goat meat) — by 45% (up to 502 tons).
