Among all areas of poultry farming in our country, turkey farming demonstrates the highest growth rates. According to the National Association of Turkey Producers, over the past five years, RUSSIA has risen in the world ranking from seventh to third place, increasing output by 80% - from 231 thousand tons in 2017 to 414.6 thousand tons in the past. At the same time, the increase compared to 2021, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 3.6%.
The sub-sector shows positive dynamics in all segments - in large and medium-sized businesses, peasant farms and personal subsidiary plots. The leaders among the regions in this direction are the Republic of Bashkortostan, Penza, Rostov and Tambov regions.
The market is actively developing due to the scaling of poultry farms and increasing the production of hatching eggs. Last year in the Tyumen region, the group of companies "Damate" launched the first stage of the second-order loudspeaker "Tribal Turkey". Its achievement of a design capacity of 12 million eggs per year will significantly reduce dependence on foreign supplies. In addition, two more large projects for 18 million hatching eggs annually are currently at different stages of implementation.
According to the forecast of the profile association, this year the production of turkey products will reach 420 thousand tons, and by 2030 - 650 thousand tons. Among the main growth factors is the high supply of the market with its own raw materials for the manufacture of animal feed: wheat, corn, soybeans, vegetable oil and other components.
