For the first half of the year, poultry farmers of the republic produced 109 thousand tons in live weight. The results of the farmers' work were summed up today in Zelenodolsk at the bottom of poultry farming. If at the end of the 90s poultry farms of Tatarstan produced 500 million eggs and 20 thousand tons of poultry MEAT per year, today the scale is completely different.

Along with European-level agricultural holdings, full-cycle poultry farms are successfully operating in the republic. Here, in Bolshiye Klyuchi, there is the Zalesny agricultural firm for the production of turkey products. The bird is raised in a cooperative. On the farm - slaughter, cutting, processing and production of several types of sausages. This year it is planned to produce 5,000 tons of poultry meat here.

The birds are raised on natural feed. Everything complies with Halal standards. The sales market is not only the Russian regions, but also exports to Iran and Turkey. The volume of investments in fixed capital for 7 years amounted to more than a billion rubles. Poultry farmers speak especially about turkey. This is a dietary meat that strengthens the body's immunity.

According to the results of last year, Tatarstan ranks second in the Volga region in egg production and third in poultry meat. And for the first half of this year, our poultry farmers produced 109 thousand tons in live weight. So far, selection and genetics are lame in the domestic poultry industry. Today, our scientists are seriously working on this.
