Over the week, poultry farmers increased prices for their products by 1.9%, pig farmers - reduced by 0.8%

Poultry farmers of the Russian Federation for a week by October 13 raised prices for chicken (carcass) by 1.9%, to 133.37 thousand rubles per ton (excluding VAT), follows from the monitoring and forecasting system for food safety of the Ministry of Agriculture. Prices for live poultry increased by 1.1% over the week, to 94.72 thousand rubles per ton.

The Ministry of Agriculture recalled that the production of poultry MEAT in agricultural organizations in January-August this year amounted to 4 million 053.9 thousand tons, which is 1.7% less than in the same period in 2020.

At the same time, pig farmers reduced prices for their products. Thus, pork half-carcasses fell in price by 0.8% over the week, to 186.14 thousand rubles per ton. Prices for live pigs decreased by 1.2% to 122.7 thousand rubles per ton.

The production of pigs in agricultural organizations in January-August increased by 1.6%, to 3.19 million tons.

On the beef market, half-carcasses rose by 0.5% to 263.63 thousand rubles per ton. Prices for live cattle decreased by 0.3% to 129.49 thousand rubles.

Agricultural organizations of the Russian Federation in January-August this year produced 679.8 thousand tons of cattle, which is 4.6% more than last year.

According to Rosstat, consumer prices for chicken meat increased by 1.5% for the week from October 5 to 11, for pork - by 0.45%, for beef - by 0.31%.
