In the first half of 2024, Rosselkhoznadzor recorded an increase in the volume of exports of meat and dairy products, potatoes, onions and garlic

Livestock product exports for the first half of 2024

The largest volumes of supplies are  MEAT and meat products – 365.7 thousand tons.

In particular, the EXPORT  of poultry meat and edible by-products amounts to 172.4 thousand tons. 73.7 thousand tons were delivered to CHINA , 29.7 thousand tons to Saudi Arabia, and 18.8 thousand tons to Kazakhstan .

92.1 thousand tons of Russian pork were exported abroad. 40.9 thousand tons to Belarus, 18.7 thousand tons to Vietnam , and 8.4 thousand tons of this type of meat were exported to China for the first time in a long time.

The supply of food by-products of small and large cattle , pigs accounts for 29.1 thousand tons. 20 thousand tons were shipped to Vietnam, 5.4 thousand tons to China.

Export of finished meat products amounts to 41.5 thousand tons. A significant share comes from Kazakhstan – 25.8 thousand tons, in addition, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Armenia are among the main buyers.

More than 19 thousand tons of beef were shipped. The main buyer is China - 9.2 thousand tons. Exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 1.9 times, reaching 2.6 thousand tons, to Belarus by 4.9 times to 2.1 thousand tons and 2 times to Uzbekistan - up to 1.4 thousand tons.

Dairy product deliveries increased 1.2 times from 72.1 thousand tons to 92 thousand tons. The largest volume was shipped to Kazakhstan – 48 thousand tons. Stable export figures remain to Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The export of MILK, dry and condensed cream increased 1.3 times - from 11.4 thousand tons to 15.2 thousand tons. The supply of milk and non-condensed cream also increased; during the indicated period, 17.1 thousand tons were shipped, and cheese – 12 thousand tons.

Fish and seafood exported amounted to 934.5 thousand tons. A significant share of exports went to China – 554 thousand tons, the Republic of Korea – 204.8 thousand tons, the Netherlands – 53.7 thousand tons.

Live animal deliveries amounted to 174.1 thousand tons. Thus, 77.9 thousand heads of live pigs were shipped to Georgia (the figures increased by 1.2 times compared to the same period last year), 17.1 thousand heads of cattle to Azerbaijan (an increase of 2 times), and 20.3 thousand heads of small cattle to Lebanon (an increase of 3.6 times).

Export of plant and fruit and vegetable products for the first half of 2024

Shipments of vegetables, root crops and tuber crops increased by 1.3 times and amounted to 288.7 thousand tons against 218.3 thousand tons for the same period in 2023. The main buyers were: Kazakhstan - 165.9 thousand tons, Belarus - 46.5 thousand tons and Azerbaijan - 31.6 thousand tons.

Potatoes continue to have impressive supply volumes – a 1.5-fold increase to 197.8 thousand tons. Then, in terms of export volumes, come onions and garlic – 48.4 thousand tons shipped, root crops ( carrots , turnips, beets, celery, radishes) – 14.2 thousand tons, cucumbers – 10.3 thousand tons.

The volumes of peppers, zucchini, mushrooms and cabbage exported abroad remain at the same level.

6.4 thousand tons of fruits and nuts were shipped in the first 6 months of 2024. Deliveries of pome fruits (apples, pears, quince) increased by 2.1 times to 3.6 thousand tons. The main importers are Kazakhstan, Belarus, and China.
