Over the year, the number of pigs and cattle on farms in the Tomsk region has increased

As of July 1, there were 71.6 thousand heads of cattle (+2% year-on-year) and 269.3 thousand pigs (+2.9%) in livestock farms of all categories in the region. Meanwhile, the number of poultry, according to Tomskstat, decreased by 3.9% year on year - to 4,285 thousand heads. Over six months, the total production of livestock and poultry meat in the Tomsk region amounted to 79.6 thousand tons in live weight (-0.5% year-on-year), where 92.1% came from agricultural organizations.
