One of the leading egg producers in the Irkutsk region is the Belorechenskoye Agricultural Joint Stock Company. This company was registered in 1992, but its history goes back more than half a century. The poultry farm , located in the Usolsky district, began its activities in the late 60s. Gavriil Frantenko, who is 85 years old, has headed the company since 1972. The company has several shareholders, including the son of Gabriel Frantenko, Sergei Frantenko, as well as deputy general directors Tatyana Pukhmakhterova and Yuri Polyakovsky. In addition, Gabriel Frantenko’s grandson, Stepan, is a deputy of the region’s Legislative Assembly and holds the post of deputy chairman of the committee on legislation on environmental management, ecology and agriculture.
More than 3.5 thousand people work at the Belorechenskoye poultry farm. Over the past year, the company produced almost 650 million eggs, which can be found in more than 500 stores of the Belorechki brand chain. The company's revenue from 2019 to 2022 grew from 6.5 to almost 10 billion rubles per year, and net profit increased from 535 million to 1.5 billion. Belorechenskoye also supplies its products to hospitals, schools, kindergartens and other social institutions in the region.
In addition to Belorechensky, eggs in the Irkutsk region are produced by the Okinsky agricultural cooperative in the Ziminsky district. This legal entity was officially registered in 1990. Unfortunately, detailed information about the scale of production and financial performance of this enterprise is not enough.
Thus, the egg business in the Irkutsk region is very profitable and has its own “kings”. "Belorechenskoye" and the agricultural cooperative "Okinsky" are large producers of eggs, providing the region with their products. These enterprises not only operate successfully in the market, but also actively cooperate with social institutions, providing them with their eggs.
