The agricultural enterprise Kronoborg LLC is known for being the first to bring 129 heads of English Oxford Down sheep to Russia. These sheep are distinguished by their large size: the live weight of lambs at the age of 4.5 months is 40-45 kg, the ewes weigh about 80 kg, and adults reach 130-140 kg by the age of two years, the breeders explain.

Oxford Downs are a meat and wool breed, the breed was registered in 1830 and was developed by crossing Hampshire and Southdown ewes with Costwold rams. This breed has not yet been registered in Russia. The meat is of high quality, and the carcass of lambs at 4 months weighs 20-25 kg. The breed's fertility is 150%. Lambs are sold to commercial farms both in Karelia and in other Russian regions, for example, supplies have been established to Tatarstan . The farm also supplies wool, which is in high demand due to its soft and long fiber.

At the All-Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Golden Autumn 2021", LLC "Kronoborg" was awarded a gold medal "For achieving high performance in the development of breeding and commercial livestock breeding."
