Outbreak of contagious dermatitis nodosa in the village of Bograd, Khakassia

Lumpy or nodular dermatitis is a dangerous infectious disease that can affect not only cattle , but also other mammals. The virus that causes this disease can spread quickly among animals, leading to serious consequences. The mortality rate from dermatitis nodosa can reach up to 95%, which is an alarming indicator for livestock owners.

However, it should be noted that dermatitis nodosa is not dangerous to humans. This is important to consider in order to avoid panic among the population. One of the main tasks of the authorities is to carry out preventive measures, clearing and treating areas in the quarantine zone in order to prevent the further spread of the infection.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Khakassia has already disposed of more than 98% of infected animals, which indicates a serious approach to solving the problem. In addition, the authorities provide compensation to owners for lost livestock. The amount of compensation depends on the type of animal and is 159 rubles per kilogram of live weight for cattle , 129 rubles for other mammals and 160 rubles for pigs.
