Currently, the situation with African swine fever remains tense in the world, although stability is observed in RUSSIA. In the first quarter of 2025, 4,400 cases of the disease were recorded among wild boars and 168 cases among domestic pigs in 17 European countries, while no outbreaks were registered in the industrial sector in Russia. African swine fever poses a serious threat to pig farming, causing high mortality among infected animals, but the disease is harmless to humans. The main cause of outbreaks is feeding pigs with undercooked food waste.
