The regional Minister of Agriculture, Alexey Sapronov, noted at a press conference on April 1 that organic livestock farming is actively developing in the region. One of the local farms already has 600 heads of organic cattle, indicating a high potential for producing environmentally friendly MEAT. This is especially relevant in light of the growing interest of consumers in healthy eating. Meat produced in the Voronezh Region is of high quality and safety: no synthetic chemicals, antibiotics or hormones are used in its production .
Sapronov also emphasized that the Voronezh Region strives not only to maintain, but also to strengthen its position in the organic production market. Despite the active development of neighboring regions, such as the Belgorod and Krasnodar Territories, Voronezh still remains the leader with 21 producers, while the Belgorod Region has 16, and the Krasnodar Territory has 12.
For the further development of organic livestock farming, state support measures are envisaged, including financial assistance, certification consultations and access to modern technologies. Attention is also focused on training farmers to implement best practices and improve product quality. The Voronezh Region continues to expand the range of organic products, planning to increase the volumes of both meat and MILK, as well as engage in the production of vegetables and fruits. The region has every chance to strengthen its position as one of the main centers of organic agriculture in RUSSIA.
