Employees of the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor found pig products infected with the ASF virus in the Volgograd region, imported from the Vladimir region. Data on the study of products was transferred to the department from the regional committee of veterinary medicine.

ASF is a dangerous infectious disease. The disease affects pigs regardless of the age and conditions of the livestock. Mortality occurs in almost 100% of cases, and infected pigs are immediately sent for slaughter. Therefore, it is believed that the virus causes major damage to agriculture and, as a result, the food industry throughout the country.
