According to Rosstat, in the first quarter of 2021, 4.5 thousand tons of chicken MEAT, 3.5 thousand tons of beef and only 4,000 kilograms of pork were produced in the Vladimir region.
According to the results of the last quarter, Vladimir became the leader in meat production with a gross volume of 4,000 tons. it is followed by Sobinsky, Yuryev-Polsky, Suzdal, Kolchuginsky and Melenkovsky districts.
In the first three months of 2021, farms of all categories registered in the Vladimir Region produced 9.6 thousand tons of meat. On an annualized basis, the increase was very modest - 0.4%. Representatives of this sector of the agro-industrial complex explain the slowdown in the development of animal husbandry with the rise in the cost of feed and outbreaks of African swine fever. On the shelves of stores there is clearly not enough locally produced products; they were replaced by goods from the Yaroslavl region.
According to the editorial staff, the price of meat increased unevenly in the first quarter. Beef prices remained relatively stable - they increased only in Murom. In Vladimir, Kovrov and Gus-Khrustalny, on the contrary, they decreased. The lowest price was recorded in Kovrov, where a kilogram of beef is sold at an average of 373 rubles.
Chicken has grown in price If before the New Year a broiler carcass could be bought in chain hypermarkets for 103 rubles per kilogram, then in April the average price of a chicken rose to 158 rubles per kilogram.
Pork on store shelves is mostly imported. It is sold at an average of 277 rubles per kilogram.
Before the May holidays, the demand for grilled products increased: shish kebabs, sausages, sausages and other types of sausages for cooking on an open fire. Now ready-to-eat barbecue can be bought for 240 rubles, while other seasonal bestsellers cost the consumer much more. For example, chicken wings in a marinade cost 370 rubles per kilogram, and a kilogram of sausages costs 450 rubles for picnic lovers.
