Two regional programs in the field of animal husbandry and fisheries have been canceled in Kuzbass, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the region reports on Thursday.
"In 2021, livestock breeders will not be reimbursed for part of the costs of acquiring breeding stock of cattle when carrying out measures to combat leukemia, and the payment of subsidies for the accelerated development of commercial fisheries will also be suspended," the report says.
The reason for the suspension of programs was the decision of the government of Kuzbass.
it is specified that the program to combat leukemia operated from 2018 to 2020, during which time livestock breeders received more than 143 million rubles from the budget, due to which the percentage of infected livestock decreased from 11.2 to 7.3%.
"Due to the stable positive result, further measures to combat leukemia will be carried out within the framework of programs developed individually for each agricultural enterprise by the Veterinary Administration of Kuzbass," the press service of the Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kuzbass Andrey Aritkulov quotes.
Regarding the suspended fishery program, it is noted that this direction is not a priority development sector in the region. About 50 fish farms operate in Kuzbass, two of them are industrial. "Projects to modernize production and expand the range of farms are successfully implemented at the expense of investors and their own funds," the press service adds.
Other subsidies remain in the region: to support livestock breeding, per 1 kilogram of MILK sold and shipped for its own processing, and to increase the productivity of dairy cattle. This year, more than 315 million rubles will be allocated for this.
