Selecting the best rabbit breeds for successful farming in Russia

The New Zealand White is a reliable breed for MEAT production. These rabbits reach a weight of 4-5 kg in just 4-5 months, are known for their friendly nature, and are disease-resistant.

The Burgundy rabbit  is prized for its versatility: meat and high-quality pelt. They can weigh 5–6 kg and require special attention in hot weather.

The Rex is a unique breed with soft fur, ideal for pelts. Although they are less prolific, their wool is highly prized.

Californian rabbits are versatile and fast-growing animals, well adapted to various climatic conditions.

Flanders are large individuals, weighing up to 10 kg, and provide good meat, but are very expensive to maintain.

The choice of breed depends on your farm's goals, climate conditions, and product lines. A smart approach to selection will allow farmers to reduce costs and increase profitability.
