Kommersant-Yaroslavl reported that in 2023, all chickens at the Romanovskaya poultry farm in the Tutaevsky district (about 0.9 million heads) were destroyed in the region. Judging by these data, other producers were able to increase the number of poultry. In general, the bird population in the region remains stable: in 2021 there were 13.6 million birds in the region, in 2020 - 13.5 million birds.

Yaroslavlstat also reported that at the end of June 2023, the number of cattle in agricultural organizations increased by 1% compared to the corresponding period in 2022. The number of sheep and goats decreased by 5.5%.
