
An outbreak of nodular dermatitis was recorded in the village of Bograd, Bograd district in early October. The authorities have declared a regional emergency. Then an outbreak of infection was recorded in several more regions of the republic.
“To date, 229 thousand heads of susceptible animals from the affected areas have already been vaccinated. Revaccination has been carried out for 168 thousand heads. These include cattle [cattle], small cattle [small ruminants]. The received vaccine will be distributed to other regions of the republic. In total, veterinarians will undergo two-stage vaccination of more than 450 thousand animals,” the department reports.
According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the republic received 1.43 million doses of the vaccine. General vaccination of farm animals in Khakassia will begin in the next 2-3 days, the department reports.
