
The total area of processed pastures was 53,831.9 hectares. Of these, 1,300 hectares were processed in the Askizsky District, 25,371.9 hectares in the Bogradsky District, 5,138 hectares in the Beysky District, and more than 22 thousand hectares in the Ust-Abakansky District.
“The plan of measures in all municipalities where outbreaks of ZUD were previously recorded has been 100% implemented,” the department reported.
The work was also carried out with the involvement of other small aircraft. Thus, over 11 thousand hectares in the Ust-Abakansky District and 3826.5 hectares in Bogradsky were processed from motorized deltaplanes.
The Ministry of Agriculture added that today the third stage of vaccination of farm animals against LSD is taking place in Khakassia. In particular, young cattle and small cattle are being vaccinated in all farms in the region.
In February of this year, an epizootic outbreak of ZUD was detected in the Khakassian village of Koibaly. The infectious disease was then detected in a private farmstead, where more than 160 sheep and 54 heads of cattle were kept.
