In the Voronezh region, the number of pigs increased by 122.4 thousand heads

In the first half of 2023, meat production in the Voronezh region increased by 0.7%, milk - by 5.3%, eggs - by 39.3% compared to the first half of 2022. The average milk yield per cow in the region for six months was 4.5 tons - an increase of 5%. The egg production of laying hens amounted to 140 eggs - an indicator decreased by 6%.

Earlier, RIA Voronezh reported that in 2023, the gross milk yield in agricultural enterprises of the Voronezh region amounted to 402.1 thousand tons - 20.5 thousand tons more than the same period last year. Voronezh enterprises produce 4.4% of milk from the total Russian volume.
