The volume of funds to support agricultural cooperatives in the Volgograd region in 2021 was doubled, the press service of the regional administration reported on Tuesday.

"This year, the volume of subsidies for the development of agricultural cooperatives in the region has been doubled - up to 15 million rubles. The first tranches totaling about 3 million rubles have already been received by livestock breeders of the region. In addition, federal subsidies will also be received in the region during the year to develop the cooperative movement," - the message says.

According to the Committee of Agriculture of the Volgograd Region, six agricultural cooperatives in the region have already received subsidies to reimburse part of the costs of purchasing MILK. State support will allow them to increase the volume of purchases of milk from members of the cooperative, which, in turn, will help strengthen personal subsidiary plots and develop processing. In addition to the “surcharge” to the rate for milk , cooperatives will be able to send a subsidy to reimburse part of the costs of acquiring property, agricultural machinery, equipment, mobile shopping facilities, the press service specified.

"Governor of the Volgograd Region Andrey Bocharov singles out support for small businesses in the agro-industrial complex as one of the key tasks for the development of the industry. Thus, at the end of 2020, nine agricultural cooperatives in the region received subsidies and grants, and over the past six years, the state has provided assistance in the development of 37 such associations" , - explained in the press service.

At the same time, the volume of support for small businesses in the region has increased significantly - from 57.5 million rubles in 2014 to 446.3 million in 2020. Since 2014, 636 grants have already been issued, and the share of the small agribusiness sector in the total gross agricultural product of the region has been increased from 13 to 22%, the regional administration added.
