The main report was made by the HEAD of the department of state veterinary supervision for ensuring animal HEALTH, the safety of products of animal origin and laboratory control, Munsel Dondokova. In her speech, she dwelt in detail on the current epizootic situation in the Trans-Baikal Territory, outlined the high risks and possible routes of introduction of certain infectious animal diseases, indicated typical violations committed by business entities, and also touched upon issues of biological safety. She spoke about measures of interdepartmental cooperation aimed at preventing the introduction and spread of especially dangerous animal diseases, while ensuring the veterinary well-being of the region, developing its agro-industrial complex and increasing EXPORT potential.  

Head of the Department of State Veterinary Supervision at the State Border of the Russian Federation and Transport Tatyana Filippova provided business entities with the procedure for processing veterinary accompanying documents in the Mercury component of the FSIS VetIS, and also drew attention to critical errors in the preparation of these documents.

During the meeting, business entities raised issues regarding the accounting of animal identification in the Horriot component of the FSIS VetIS, the disposal of biological waste, the preparation of veterinary accompanying documents for livestock by-products, and others. The Department staff provided comprehensive answers and explanations to all questions asked.
