A poultry farm for 12.8 billion tenge will start operating in the Turkestan region.

An agro-industrial facility will appear in the Kentau region. According to the information, construction has already begun. Its launch is scheduled for this year.

"The cost is 12.8 billion tenge. The project is being implemented with foreign investment," the government agency added.

Also, a poultry farm is currently being built in the Mangistau region. Its implementation is estimated at 5 billion tenge. The production capacity will be 5 thousand tons of meat per year. Also in the Kyzylorda region they want to launch another poultry farm for 4 billion tenge. Its opening is scheduled for the end of 2021.  

In addition, they want to open a breeding poultry farm and a poultry farm for the production of broiler meat in the Almaty region. The cost is 117 billion tenge. According to the information, about 43 billion tenge will be invested in the implementation of the first project. The capacity of the breeding poultry reproducer will be 160 million eggs per year. It is noted that the first and second stages will be launched in October this year. Capacity - 120 thousand tons of meat per year.

Earlier, LS wrote that three poultry farms were launched in the region at the end of 2020. For example, in the Uygur district in December last year, they completed the reconstruction of an object worth 10.49 billion tenge. Its capacity is 29 thousand tons of poultry meat per year, jobs - 500. Two poultry farms with a total cost of 15.4 billion tenge were launched in the Ili district. 

In turn, the Ministry of Agriculture told LS that the domestic market will be provided with up to 80% by the end of 2021 due to the commissioning of 12 new poultry farms with a capacity of 173 thousand tons of poultry meat. It is also planned to load the existing poultry farms by 20%, which will bring the volume of poultry meat production to 400 thousand tons or to the level of self-sufficiency.

At the same time, by 2027, the country plans to increase the production of poultry meat to more than 700 thousand tons.
