As of January 1, 70,700 goats and sheep were registered in the region, 17% less than a year ago. By the beginning of the year, less than 7 million birds were counted. A year ago, this figure was close to 9 million (8.7 million heads).
At the same time, last year the production of livestock and poultry in farms of all categories increased by 4.1% compared to 2022, MILK by 1.8%, and eggs by 5.3%.
Last year in the Tula region, the total sown area of agricultural crops in farms of all categories decreased compared to 2022. The figure fell by 1.6%.
