The new complex is planned to create about 20 jobs and additionally procure about 100 tons of MEAT. The total slaughter volume in the Tazovsky District is expected to be 1,200 tons. The domestically produced modular complex was purchased using municipal funds with the support of fuel and energy companies.
Last year, the district harvested about 3,300 tons of reindeer meat, which was a new record for the region. This success was made possible by comprehensive measures taken by the district government, including raising the minimum purchase price for reindeer meat , which was agreed upon at a meeting between the governor and private reindeer herders.
The increased activity among reindeer herders and the increase in the number of contracts led to additional financial resources being allocated by the district government for settlements with private reindeer herders.
The expansion of the slaughterhouse network is key to the development of the industry. There are currently 17 such facilities operating in the district, which has contributed to a more than twofold increase in production volumes and an increase in the number of venison suppliers.
