In North Ossetia, the production of meat, milk and eggs increased in 2021 - North-Kavkazstat

In North Ossetia, in 2021, the production of livestock and poultry meat for slaughter in live weight amounted to 47.5 thousand tons. This is 15.7% higher than in 2020, Severo-Kavkazstat reports.

According to operational data, in farms of all categories, as of January 1, 2022, the number of cattle increased by 2.7% and amounted to 98.5 thousand heads, pigs — a decrease of 16.5% (22.2 thousand heads) , sheep and goats - an increase of 11.1% (123.2 thousand heads), poultry - an increase of 4.4% (1.6 million heads).

In addition, farms of all categories increased compared to 2020: milk production - by 12.2% and reached 198.1 thousand tons, eggs - by 13.9% (70.8 million units).

As RBC Kavkaz reported, in North Ossetia, the volume of agricultural production of all agricultural producers in January-March 2021 decreased by 2.4% compared to the corresponding period last year and amounted to 3.78 billion rubles.
