In the Orlovsky district of the Rostov region, under the patronage of the state veterinary service of the region, a project is being implemented on the electronic identification and registration of animals in the unified electronic register of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR .

Several regions of the country, including the Rostov region, are participating in the federal project of a unified accounting system. Cattle are identified with tags and chips.

Within the framework of the project in personal and farm enterprises of the Orlovsky district, veterinarians of the regional animal disease control station entered into the program information about 20 thousand cows, sheep and horses. At the same time, more than 7 thousand heads of cattle were microchipped.

“A big plus of the system is that automated identification eliminates the possibility of falsification, makes purchase and sale transactions transparent and reliably protects farms from theft and substitution of animals,” Alexander Kruglikov explained. - The procedure takes no more than a minute, it can be carried out even in the field. And to read the complete information about the animal, the veterinarian only needs to have a scanner with him.”

Animal data was entered into the VetExpert system (a patented development of the Don Veterinary Service), subsequently the information can be integrated into the federal information system of the Rosselkhoznadzor VetIS, the Harriot component. When entered into VetExpert, each individual is assigned a unique alphanumeric identifier. All information about the animal is fixed: pedigree, medical history, diagnostic tests, vaccinations and movements.
