Russians began to eat MEAT and meat products (in terms of meat ) by 1.95 kilograms more than a year earlier - 99.9 kilograms on average per person per year from 98 kilograms in 2023. This is the maximum value in the entire history of observations. In particular, the consumption of beef and veal increased - up to 9.4 kilograms per person per year, pork - up to 17.4 kilograms, semi-finished meat products and finished meat products - up to 10.2 kilograms, lamb and goat meat - up to 1.3 kilograms. Poultry consumption remained at the 2023 level - 25.3 kilograms per person on average per year. Russians began to eat slightly more sausages - 10.5 kilograms in 2024 against 10.4 kilograms in 2023, and, on the contrary, less frankfurters and wieners - 5.4 kilograms against 5.5 kilograms. In addition, in 2024, all households ate more vegetables and melons - 110 kilograms against 107 kilograms in 2023. ate an average of 1.4 kilograms of watermelons and melons more than the year before - 15.1 kilograms. Potato consumption also increased - by 0.5 kilograms, to 55.3 kilograms per person per year. People in RUSSIA also began to eat more fresh fruits and berries - 46.7 kilograms on average in 2024 against 45 kilograms in 2023.
