In Russia, per capita meat consumption increased to 83 kg in 2024

According to Sergey Lakhtyukhov, General DIRECTOR of the National Union of Poultry Farmers, this increase was 2 kg. Poultry MEAT and pork showed particularly noticeable growth . In total, poultry meat accounted for approximately 36 kg of total consumption in 2023.

Lakhtyukhov also noted that further growth in meat consumption is expected in the next five years, which will depend on the development of pig farming in the country. According to expert estimates, there is currently a surplus of poultry production at the level of 5-7%, which has a positive effect on the economy of the industry, allowing RUSSIA to remain a net exporter of meat.
