In Russia, a record rise in price of pork neck

According to AD Libitum, wholesale prices for pork neck in RUSSIA on the eve of the May holidays increased by 18% compared to 2022, to 450 rubles per kg. This is the highest price in the last 5 years.

The increase in the price of one of the main cuts for barbecue is associated with a seasonal increase in demand before the May holidays. At the same time, other pork cuts are sold in wholesale almost 2 times cheaper - at the level of indicators 7 years ago.

The increase in wholesale prices is confirmed by large retail chains, however, they do not increase the price tag on the shelf in order to support the active dynamics of consumer demand and traffic in stores.
