In Russia, prices for beef and lamb are expected to increase by 15%.

Currently, the price of boneless beef reaches 890 rubles per kilogram, while pork costs an average of 385 rubles, and chicken costs around 227 rubles, according to Rusprodsoyuz data as of July 1. In 2024 , average per capita MEAT consumption was 83 kilograms, exceeding the Ministry of Health's recommendations and exceeding the level of several developed countries. This increase is driven by the active development of pig and poultry farming. However, already in June, the Central Federal District saw a 15% increase in the price of live piglets, which will impact the final cost of processed products. Experts noted that prices on the Russian market are determined primarily by supply and demand, without taking into account foreign policy factors. The situation with beef is more complex, as approximately 300,000 tons of meat are imported annually from Latin America. With rising prices, demand for meat products declines most rapidly.
