Mass breeding of pheasants with improved characteristics has begun in Russia

At the first stage of the work, pheasant chicks with increased survival were obtained. Scientists are testing feed mixtures with probiotics, amino acids and microelements, which will ensure their protection from infections and improve the quality of MEAT.

Pheasants are valued for their dietary qualities and taste, making them popular in high-end gastronomy. The meat contains many essential amino acids and may be beneficial for people with certain HEALTH conditions. However, the high cost may deter the interest of ordinary consumers.

Experts also plan to conduct genetic research to create a new subspecies of pheasants suitable for growing in the conditions of central RUSSIA.
