Chicken prices are rising in Russia, with wholesale prices up 34%.

The price increase is due to high demand and limited supply. There have also been significant price increases for chicken fillets (320 rubles per kilogram, up 10% year-on-year), chicken legs (162 rubles, up 12%), and wings (180 rubles, up 5%). According to the Ministry of Agriculture, live weight poultry production increased by 3.3% from January to July 2025, reaching 3.96 million tons. Experts attribute the rise in chicken prices to the rise in feed costs, which accounted for 70%. it is expected that throughout the yearChicken MEAT will rise in price by 15–25%.
