In the Republic of Mordovia, a dairy plant was held accountable for using beef fat in the production of butter

Thus, on February 14, 2024 , employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Republic of Mordovia and the Penza Region carried out an unscheduled on-site inspection, agreed upon with the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Mordovia, in relation to Krasnoslobodsky Dairy Plant LLC, upon the discovery of counterfeit butter in circulation.

In accordance with the test protocol of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VGNKI" dated December 15, 2023, during laboratory tests of a sample of butter taken by the Office of Rosselkhoznadzor on October 31, 2023 at the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Moldova "Children's Republican Clinical Hospital" as part of state monitoring, the presence of a mass fraction of beef fat was established in an amount of more than 32.2%, which is a violation of the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union “On the safety of food products” and “On the safety of Milk and dairy products.”

According to information from the Federal State Information System "Mercury", a batch of butter in the amount of 370 kg was produced and put into circulation by LLC "Krasnoslobodsky Dairy Plant", which is confirmed by issued production and transport certificates.
