Opening the meeting, Oleg Kozhemyako noted that the cooperation between the Amur region and the Republic of Belarus is active, and also stressed the need to develop new areas of joint work. In particular, they discussed the construction of partially robotic dairy farms, grain drying complexes, greenhouses, the assembly of fodder equipment, power-packed tractors, mini-equipment, and quarry equipment.
“All the main areas of cooperation are related to the development of agriculture. This is the subject of our work in the coming years. I think that in November-December we will sign direct agreements on work for 2013 and subsequent years. In addition, we are opening a new direction: the construction of elevators and grain drying complexes using technologies that are already working in the Republic of Belarus. They are cheaper than analogues that are available today. This includes the construction of feedlots for pig breeding - there is experience gained there, and we will test it this year at several such sites. Also a promising direction - seed production - is corn hybrids, which give good results for grain and silage. We will implement these main directions and complete the signing of agreements in Belarus,” said Oleg Kozhemyako.
In addition, the meeting touched upon the creation of a joint venture on the basis of the Belarusian company CJSC MEAT and Dairy Company and the Amur enterprise OJSC Khladokombinat, as well as the opening of service centers for Belarusian-made equipment. By the way, in November, representatives of the Amur Region are planning a visit to the republic, where they will be able to learn more about agricultural developments.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Leonid Zayats confirmed his readiness to cooperate with the Amur region in these areas and to exchange experience.
