
Penzastat specialists published data on the state of animal husbandry in the Penza region in farms of all categories for the first half of 2022.
Positive dynamics was noted in two indicators - the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight increased by 8.2% compared to the same period in 2021, and egg production by 6.2%.
At the same time, MEAT production, compared to January-June 2021, increased in agricultural organizations by 17.5 thousand tons or 9.1%, in households this figure decreased by 0.2 thousand tons (-2.3%), in Peasant (private) farms and individual entrepreneurs' production fell by 0.5 thousand tons, or 23.6%. In just six months, farms of all categories produced 221.2 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight.
MILK production decreased by 10% in farms of all categories. In total, 176.2 thousand tons of milk were produced in the first half of the year.
In particular, milk production decreased: by 11.0 thousand tons (8.6%) in agricultural organizations, by 8.6 thousand tons or by 19.4% in households, in peasant (farmer) households and individual entrepreneurs – by 0.2 thousand tons or by 0.7%.
The milk yield per cow in large, medium, small agricultural organizations (including micro-enterprises), excluding subsidiary farms and agricultural consumer cooperatives, in January-June 2022 amounted to 4699 kilograms, or 2.1% more than in January-June 2021.
Egg production in farms of all categories amounted to 144.1 million pieces.
In agricultural organizations, the production of eggs increased by 1.8 million pieces (by 2.3%), in peasant (farmer) households and individual entrepreneurs - by 9.5 million pieces (by 63.9%), in the households of the population decreased by 2.9 million pieces (up 6.6%).
The egg production of one laying hen in large, medium, small agricultural organizations (including micro-enterprises), excluding subsidiary plots and agricultural consumer cooperatives, for the first half of the year amounted to 124 eggs, or 4.2% more than the same period last year.
As of July 1, 2022. the number of cattle in farms of all categories amounted to 141.4 thousand heads and decreased by 4.7% compared to July 1, 2021, pigs - 269.4 thousand heads (a decrease by 0.6%), sheep and goats - 84 .2 thousand heads (by 7.5), birds - 14221.6 thousand heads (by 2.3%).
