Production of milk, poultry and eggs is growing in the Penza region

According to the official information of the territorial statistics service of the Penza region, in May 2021, the region shows an increase in production indicators in the field of animal husbandry, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported.

Farms of all forms of ownership produced 165 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight, including 155 thousand tons produced in the sector of agricultural organizations and 1.4 thousand tons in the sector of farms and individual entrepreneurs.

According to the results of May 2021, MILK production in the region increased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 157.4 thousand tons. Including agricultural organizations produced 102.8 thousand tons of milk, which is 24% more than in May 2020.

Farms of all forms of ownership produced 108.7 million eggs of all types, including 54.1 million eggs of all types, which is 9% more than in the same period last year.
