
In the Lysogorsky district, a quarantine was introduced for African swine fever among wild boars. The corresponding decree of the Governor of the Saratov region Valery Radaev, signed three days ago, today, March 28, is published on the regional portal of legal information.
As stated in the document, the deadly virus was detected in the population of wild boars on the territory of the hunting farm of OOO Vozrozhdenie.
Part of the farm has been declared unaffected by ASF.
“Prohibit for the period of quarantine: on the territory of an infected object, visits to the territory by unauthorized persons, except for specialists from the state veterinary service and personnel involved in the elimination of an infected object; entry and exit of vehicles (with the exception of vehicles involved in the liquidation of an infected object); harvesting wild boar for MEAT, for making stuffed animals, for other purposes; preparation of feed and bedding material for susceptible animals; hunting, with the exception of hunting in order to regulate the number of hunting resources, - the HEAD of the region decided. – Destroy the corpses of dead wild boars in accordance with veterinary rules (…) Conduct decontamination from the ASF pathogen (…) Ensure the absence of wild boars on the territory of the infected object by regulating their numbers.”
