A difficult situation is observed in the Onon district, Mogoituy district and partly in the Aginsky district. it is necessary to prepare 295 thousand tons of feed here - a third of the total volume of hay that will have to be cut this year in Transbaikalia, he specifiedMinister of Agriculture of the region Denis Bochkarev.

“We worked with the heads of other districts of the region on the allocation of areas for haymaking to farms that do not have enough areas for harvesting. Currently, farmland has been found and fodder procurement has begun,” he shared.

It is noted that the regional Ministry of Agriculture is currently addressing issues of reimbursement of costs for fuels and lubricants. A mechanism for providing assistance for the distribution of grain and feed to affected farms is also being worked out.

A municipal state of emergency due to drought was previously introduced in 11 districts and districts of Transbaikalia.
