In Crimea, chicken MEAT is purchased from large suppliers in the Rostov region and Moscow region in order to reduce the price of the product. The authorities of the peninsula have concluded agreements with mainland distributors, Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Irina Mezavtsova said on Radio Crimea.
“We plan to increase supply volumes; there will be more than one distributor. Prices can only be stabilized through competition. The consumer will go where the price is more acceptable for him,” Mezavtsova concluded.
She also noted that chicken meat has become more expensive not only in Crimea, but throughout RUSSIA. Manufacturers raised prices due to increased costs of fuel and feed, the minister noted.
Crimea has already received the first batch of chicken from the mainland, about 200 tons. Now in stores across the republic you can buy chicken 18% cheaper.
Earlier, the HEAD of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov said that the increase in food prices , in particular chicken meat, in most cases is speculative. He instructed to check prices in retail chains and analyze the work of commodity producers and suppliers who biasedly inflated prices. The Crimean authorities have already monitored prices.
