More than 1,800 pigs and 17 tons of meat products were destroyed in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

To date, five active outbreaks of ASF have been registered in the region: in the Minusinsk region, the city of Minusinsk, Kuraginsk and Karatuz regions. In quarantine zones, more than 1,800 pigs were seized from their owners and sent for euthanasia, 17 tons of pig products were withdrawn from circulation with subsequent disposal.

The primary outbreak occurred on a farm in the village of Malaya Minusa, where the entire livestock was destroyed. In the Karatuzsky district, an infected facility was identified - a MEAT products processing workshop that purchased raw materials from the owner of the affected farm. Subsequently, the virus was found in farms in the territories of Minusinskoye and the village of Gorodki, Minusinsk region. 

Veterinary services daily go around farmsteads in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory taking blood samples of pigs and product samples for examination. Round-the-clock veterinary posts have been established on roads in threatened areas.
