In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the number of districts affected by ASF increased to three

"In animals in a private farm in the village of Marinino, Kuraginsky district, the genetic material of the African swine fever virus was detected. <...> In all districts of the southern territory of the region, daily rounds of private farmsteads are carried out to monitor the condition of pigs," the press service explained.

According to the regional ROSSELKHOZNADZOR , in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, more than 1,800 pigs were seized and destroyed from the population. "More than 17 tons of pork MEAT and pig products were also seized from retail outlets, meat product processing shops and destroyed. <…> On all roads within the boundaries of threatened zones leading from epizootic foci, round-the-clock posts are organized with the involvement of traffic police officers" , - explained in the Rosselkhoznadzor.

Previously, foci of African swine fever were found in the villages of Malaya Minusa, Gorodok, in the city of Minusinsk, Minusinsk region, and in the village of Karatuzskoye, Karatuz region.

In mid-March, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists received information about the death of pigs in a personal subsidiary farm in the village of Malaya Minusa, Minusinsk district, Krasnoyarsk Territory. Samples were taken and it turned out that the animals were infected with African swine fever.

ASF is a viral disease that affects wild boars and domestic pigs. In its acute form, the disease kills 100% of affected animals. For humans, the disease is not dangerous. In RUSSIA, the first outbreak of ASF was registered in 2007.
