In the Koshekhablsky district of Adygea, the first poultry slaughter and processing shop in the republic was opened. The capacity of the enterprise, in which 13.9 million rubles have been invested, will be 500 heads per hour.

The initiator of the project, local farmer Ruslan Papov, has invested 5.7 million rubles of his own funds in MEAT processing since the beginning of 2019 and received state support in the form of a grant of 8.2 million rubles.

For the Koshekhablsky district, where 35% of poultry products in the country are produced, the opening of the workshop was a long-awaited event that opens up new opportunities for the development of the industry. Every year, local 15 farms produce about 2,000 tons of broiler meat.

The HEAD of the local department of agriculture, Zaur Samogov, said that earlier, when there was no slaughterhouse in the village of Koshekhabl, poultry producers sold meat exclusively by live weight. The launch of a new enterprise will contribute to the formation of added value in the poultry industry.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Adygea supports farmers. Last year, six farms received grants, and the total amount of funds allocated to them from the state budget exceeded 70 million rubles. At the end of 2020, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in the region amounted to about 30 thousand tons and continues to grow.
