In Komi, they will enter into agreements with trade organizations on maximum permissible prices for socially important products

The State Council of the region supported this bill , which amends the current law “On some issues in the field of state regulation of trade activities in the Komi Republic.”

The project was prepared in order to implement the provisions of Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated April 26, 2023 No. 662 on the admissibility of concluding agreements with business entities selling socially significant goods for which maximum permissible retail prices may be established dated April 26, 2023 No. 662 

Trade organizations will be able to determine the list of such goods independently in accordance with the list approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 530 of July 15, 2010. 

It includes 24 items: beef (except boneless meat); pork (except boneless meat); lamb (except boneless meat); chickens (except chicken legs); frozen whole fish; butter ; sunflower oil; drinking milk ; chicken eggs ; granulated sugar; table salt ; black long tea; wheat flour ; Rye bread; rye-wheat; bread and bakery products made from wheat flour; polished rice; millet; buckwheat – core; vermicelli; potatoes ; fresh white cabbage; bulb onions; carrots ; apples.

As Ildar Andaryanov noted, agreements in accordance with Resolution No. 662 are concluded until May 6, 2026. The conclusion of agreements is entirely voluntary. 

The agreements establish conditions under which antitrust measures will not be applied to participants.
