Restrictions were introduced in a forest area near the village of Elensky, Khvastovichi district, where a wild boar infected with the ASF virus was found during sanitary shooting. In a zone with a radius of 10 kilometers, the entire population of domestic pigs will be alienated and destroyed.

In addition, quarantine was established at the Chkalovsky state farm in the Dzerzhinsky district of the Kaluga region, where an outbreak of ASF occurred in a private courtyard.

Since the beginning of July, quarantine for ASF has been introduced in three zones located within the Dzerzhinsky and Yukhnovsky districts. Cases of ASF in private farms are associated with a gross violation of veterinary rules for keeping pigs.

In particular, the outbreak, identified on July 2 in the Yukhnovsky district, occurred on an illegal farm. A local resident has been raising more than 100 unregistered pigs since 2019 on a plot near the forest. The export of products was not reflected in the GIS "Mercury".
