In the Kaliningrad region, since the beginning of 2023, the import of more than 62 thousand tons of meat and meat products from 9 countries has been controlled

Most of all poultry meat (more than 36,345 tons) and beef (25,369 tons) were imported into the region, the exporters of which were Brazil , Paraguay, Uruguay, Turkey , Colombia, Argentina, China , etc.

In addition, 376 tons of pork from Brazil and 50 tons of horse meat from Argentina were imported into the Russian Federation.

Thus, since the beginning of November 2023, more than 800 tons of poultry meat and about 335 tons of beef from Brazil, Paraguay, Turkey and China have arrived in the Kaliningrad region .

After border veterinary control was carried out by inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Kaliningrad Region, the products were allowed for import.
