African swine fever quarantine lifted in Kaliningrad region

The ban does not apply to pig-breeding complexes with the highest level of biological security (assigned to compartment IV).

We remind you that last year the first outbreak of ASF in the Kaliningrad region was registered at the end of July in the Nesterovsky district. Subsequently, the virus spread to the Ozersky, Krasnoznamensky and Chernyakhovsky municipal districts. 

In mid-August, the pig-breeding complex of Pribaltiyskaya Myasnaya Kompaniya Tri LLC in the Chernyakhovsky district suffered from an outbreak of ASF. In early September, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government - Minister of Agriculture of the Kaliningrad Region Natalya Shevtsova said that the Kaliningrad Region was threatened with a food disaster.
