
After attending a meeting between an official delegation from the Argentine government and representatives of the Chinese Customs Administration (GACC), he announced that representatives from that country would visit Argentina on June 8 to expedite the final approval of the export protocol for these by-products.
"The Ministry of Economy held a meeting to continue negotiations on issuing permits for the import of new Argentine products into the Chinese market. The IPCVA (Spanish Institute of Commerce and Industry) was able to participate in the meeting, where the current situation and next steps for opening the export of beef offal and registering for the export of gallstones were discussed. This led to significant progress on both products," the statement reads.
"Opening up trade promises concrete benefits for Argentine producers and meat processing plants," they said later.
According to the Argentine Meat Exporters Consortium (ABC) report, exports of beef offal and semi-finished meat products in April amounted to 9.2 thousand tons, worth approximately US $15.8 million .
The average export price for this product was just below US$1,730 per tonne, with peak prices for beef tongues exceeding US$3,180.
According to data, in the first four months of 2025, sales volume of beef by-products and semi-finished products increased to 39.1 thousand tons worth US$66.8 million.
