Measures to support agricultural cooperation and farmers in 2024 were expanded by decision of the Russian Government. The HEAD of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers, Mikhail Mishustin, signed a corresponding resolution, which sets out an additional list of costs of agricultural consumer cooperatives, which are partially reimbursed by the state. it includes the purchase of planting material for berry crops, young cattle , as well as the purchase of berries from citizens running private farms

Also, the new decision will include consumer societies in the number of agricultural consumer cooperatives in which at least 70% of their revenue is generated from the procurement, storage, processing and marketing of agricultural products. This will expand the range of enterprises receiving government support.

In addition, the minimum amount of the Agrostartup grant has been established - no less than 1.5 million rubles. This grant is issued for the implementation of projects to create or develop farms.

“In the Ivanovo region in 2024, state support for small forms and cooperation in the agro-industrial complex will increase by almost 30% compared to last year. Thus, in 2024, more than 190 million rubles will be allocated to support farmers and cooperation, including 78.2 million rubles for Agrostartup grants. 32.5 million rubles will be allocated for subsidies to cooperatives, 53.8 and 16.1 million rubles, respectively, for the development of family farms and grant support for cooperatives. They will also support another project for the development of rural tourism with a grant of 10 million rubles,” said Denis Cherkesov, member of the Government of the Ivanovo Region, DIRECTOR of the regional department of agriculture and food.

Agrostartup grants and subsidies to agricultural consumer cooperatives are provided within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives,” which has been implemented by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2019.
