Four foci of African swine fever are eliminated in the Ivanovo region

The veterinary services of the Ivanovo region have focused their efforts on the localization of four outbreaks of ASF - three in personal subsidiary plots and one in a peasant farm.

Last week, on July 5, an outbreak was detected in the Ilyinsky district. Three days later, an outbreak of African swine fever emerged in the village of Inevezh, Ivanovsky District. At the moment, all measures to prevent the spread of infection, including the elimination of livestock susceptible to the virus, have been completed in both outbreaks. Disinfection barriers have been installed at the entrance to the contaminated territories.

Two more outbreaks occurred in the villages of Balakhonki and Lebyazhy Lug, Ivanovsky District. Veterinary services approve the boundaries of quarantine zones. The HEAD of the veterinary service of the Ivanovo region, Yevgeny Kurochkin, ordered to launch explanatory work among the local population.
