The transportation of more than 1,400 undocumented calves was stopped in the Irkutsk region.

This measure was taken to enhance biological security following the detection of pasteurellosis cases in farm animals in the Zabaikalsky Krai. Since the introduction of controls on November 14, 3,900 vehicles have been inspected, 34 of which were transporting cattle and MEAT without the necessary veterinary documentation. All detained animals were returned to their original destinations. ROSSELKHOZNADZOR ( Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) has banned the EXPORT of both cattle and small livestock from the region.
